How to Apply & Remove

A simple guide to wearing your NailWard press-on nails and taking them off safely.

Before you start

  • Wash and dry your hands.
  • Push back your cuticles gently with a cuticle stick.
  • Lay out the nails in order so each one is easy to match to the right finger.

How to apply

  1. Wipe each natural nail with a prep pad or a little rubbing alcohol to remove oils.
  2. Gently push back the cuticles and lightly buff the surface of each nail.
  3. Match each press-on nail to the correct finger and place it in order.
  4. Peel the adhesive tab, or apply a thin layer of nail glue, to the natural nail.
  5. Place the press-on nail at the cuticle line, then press down firmly and hold for about 10–20 seconds.
  6. Repeat on every nail and avoid water for the first 30–60 minutes.

How to remove

  1. Soak your nails in warm soapy water for about 10–15 minutes to loosen the adhesive.
  2. Gently lift the edge of the press-on nail with a cuticle stick. Do not force or pull it off.
  3. If a nail is still firm, apply a little cuticle oil or nail glue remover around the edges, wait a moment, then lift again.
  4. Wipe away any residue and wash your hands.
  5. Store the nails somewhere clean if you would like to reuse them.

Tips for a longer wear

  • Avoid using your nails as tools to open or scrape things.
  • Keep your nails dry for the first hour after applying.
  • Press down again if a nail starts to lift, or reapply it with a fresh adhesive tab.
